The optimal means to access Vaadhoo Island is by boat, with three viable options: speedboats, ferries, and airplanes. Male to Vaadhoo island distance is around 195km. For a hassle-free journey, here are the recommendations from Vaadho View Inn:

  1. Take a Maldivian flight from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport to Ifuru Airport.
  2. From Ifuru, it’s a 25-minute speedboat journey to Vaadhoo Island.
  3. Alternatively, Nasru Speed Ferry operates departures from Male every Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with morning departures at 6:15 AM.

Male Airport to Vaadhoo Island by Speedboat

The speedboat is the fastest way to get there but is also the most expensive. It will take only 10 minutes to get from Male Airport to Vaadhoo Island. The speedboat cost is around USD 100 per person one-way, so it can add up quickly if traveling with others or in a large group. The benefit of using the speedboat instead of another method is that there are no stops along the way—you’ll get dropped off right on Vaadhoo Island instead of having to make your way through any other locations first.

If you’d rather not spend as much on transportation but still want a direct route from Male Airport to Vaadhoo Island, taking a ferry boat may be more cost-effective. Nasru Speed Ferry operates departures from Male every Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with morning departures at 6:15 AM. They can accommodate up to 200 passengers at once.
